Benchwarden — Support

Lab and 3D-print inventory with a bench co-pilot.

Benchwarden helps you track your pull-bin drawers, counts, and locations so you can find any component fast, and ask a co-pilot what you can build from the parts you own. It is local-first and works offline.

Common questions

Do I need an account or the internet? No. Adding drawers, searching, filament, projects, and export all work offline with no account.

How does sync work? If you are signed in to iCloud, your inventory mirrors through your own private iCloud (CloudKit) so your iPhone and iPad agree. It is optional.

How do I export my data? Use the export button to dump your whole catalog to CSV or JSON at any time.

What is the co-pilot? It suggests what you can build from parts you actually own. It runs on device by default (Apple Intelligence). You can optionally connect your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key in settings to use a cloud model instead. Your key is stored in the device Keychain.

The co-pilot says it is unavailable. The on-device tier needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence, turned on in Settings. If your device does not support it, add your own API key in the co-pilot settings to use a cloud model.
